How it works

Four levels, and nothing you do not need

A location holds spaces, a space holds boxes and loose items, and a box holds items. Search, capacity, and sharing all build from that structure.

The model

Location → Space → Box → Item

01 · Location

Where you store things

Locations are the places you manage. Members, invitations, and reusable box sizes belong here.

02 · Space

The room or unit

A space can be a unit, room, shelf, or other part of a location with its own inventory.

03 · Box

The container

Boxes can be named, measured, marked for handling, and filled with the items you want to find later.

04 · Item

The thing you need

An item can be in a box or loose in a space. It is the thing you will eventually go looking for.

Reusable measurements

Measure a box size once

Box types are reusable dimension presets for one location. Save the carton and tote sizes you use, then choose one as you add a box instead of measuring it again.

StoreStuff records a box's measurements when you save it. Editing or deleting a box type does not resize or remove boxes you have already recorded.

Sharing and roles

The right people can help manage the right location

Role Can do Cannot do
Owner
Created the location
Manage spaces, box types, inventory, invitations, and location settings. Nothing within that location.
Admin Manage a shared location, its spaces, box types, inventory, and invitations. Manage locations they were not invited to.
Member Add, edit, and find boxes and items in the shared spaces. Change location settings, spaces, or box types.

Invitations are sent by email. The app explains the scope of a deletion before it is confirmed.

Start with the location you are most tired of searching.
