1. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us when using StoreStuff.app, including:
- Account information, including your name and email address
- Profile pictures
- Information about your storage locations and items
- Communications with other users through the platform
For account administration, we record the most recent use of your signed-in web or mobile account and the days on which you use it. Site administrators can see these activity summaries, account details, and storage totals. We also keep a history of profile and role changes made by administrators.
Native iOS app
The iOS app sends your account name, email address, account identifier, inventory records, and any storage costs you choose to record to StoreStuff to provide your account and inventory features. Inventory descriptions can include access instructions or unit codes, so share locations only with people you intend to give that information to.
For account security, our service retains session information such as IP address, browser or app information, and sign-in activity. Hosted security checks and optional Google or Apple sign-in also involve those providers. The native app does not include advertising or a tracking SDK.
The iOS app keeps encrypted copies of recently loaded inventory and pending edits on your device. Saved inventory can be used for up to seven days; pending edits remain until they sync successfully or you discard them. Confirmed sign-out or changing accounts clears this local data. If local cleanup fails, the app closes your session and retries cleanup when it can. Camera scanning recognizes QR labels on your device and does not upload camera images.

6. Cookies and advertising
If you dismiss an Android or iOS app prompt, we save its platform-specific expiry time in your browser's local storage to keep it hidden, normally for 14 days. This preference is not sent to our servers and does not contain account or inventory information. Clearing browser data removes it.
Essential cookies keep your account signed in and protect the service. Optional analytics help us understand how people use the site. You can accept, reject, or change analytics cookies through Cookie preferences in the footer.
When advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense on the public home and How it works pages for visitors who are not signed in. We do not place ads on your inventory, account, or sign-in pages, and we do not send your inventory records, photos, or account details to AdSense.
Google and its advertising partners may receive your IP address, public page URL, browser and device information, and information about ad interactions. They may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies for ad delivery, measurement, frequency limits, and fraud prevention. Our initial advertising pilot requests non-personalized ads; these can still use cookies and require consent where applicable. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's advertising technologies.
Advertising choices are separate from analytics choices. After you close our analytics cookie notice, Google's consent tools may load on an eligible page to determine the choices available in your region. These tools can contact Google and use browser storage to manage your choices. We load the advertising script and request an ad only after the applicable privacy signals are available and permit it. Declining advertising consent, opting out of sale or sharing where offered, or sending a Global Privacy Control signal keeps ads off in this pilot.
On pages where advertising is enabled, open Advertising preferences in the footer to turn off ads in this browser, change European advertising consent, or use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information when available in your region. The browser off switch is saved in local storage; clearing browser data removes it. Turning ads off reloads the page to stop the advertising tools. You can also control cookies in your browser and manage Google's personalized advertising through My Ad Center.
7. Children's privacy
The service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
